You know those emails friends send that have jokes or weird pictures or bulletins on current events and situations? I got one recently that described the dismal state of pensions, social security, etc. for "average joes" compared to...others. (I guess that falls into the last category.) A mere pittance for the vast majority, and even that faces all sorts of peril. I searched the web and found corroborating news articles. My reaction to reading all this (after a few sips of soothing gingerale) was:"I'm galvanized".
Before the Internet, the farthest you could reach -- in addition to your mind and heart -- was where you stood and the length of your arm. The "mind and heart" part hasn't changed...but the reach has changed through high-technology. How can you reach?
- security and profit through initiative and creativity
- charting destiny by continuous development
- utilizing talents to the utmost and inspiration
- experiencing new things
- building relationships
These are diverse elements. And they share something in common: a way to a more satisfying and rewarding life.
You're seeing how the Internet is enhancing these ambitions and enjoyments in news and magazine articles, TV features, and offshoots of media of all kinds. Why not participate in the benefits?
